Hi, I’m Madalyn Bailey. As a proud resident of the Robbinsdale School District for over 25 years, my roots here run deep. I grew up in Golden Valley, and after spending seven years in Arizona while my husband completed six years of honorable military service, we moved back home to New Hope to raise our family in the community that shaped me. I am a devoted military wife and mother of four.Three of my children are currently navigating our district from elementary through middle school, and my youngest is not yet school-age. Like so many families in our district, ours felt the painful impact of recent school closures firsthand. That experience drives my deep, personal commitment to the success, stability, and safety of our local schools.Professionally, I have dedicated my entire adult career to combating cancer. With 11 years in radiation oncology, including six years in clinical leadership, I now work on the front lines of cancer research. Beyond my career, I actively volunteer and advocate for our neighborhoods because I care deeply about the future we are building together. I bring a strong mix of executive leadership, research-backed problem-solving, and a mother's perspective to everything I do.
Leadership shouldn’t happen behind closed doors. I commit to being a school board member who is consistently reachable, responsive, and present.To ensure your voice directly guides my decisions, I will hold regular Community Office Hours across our district, at local coffee shops, libraries, and community centers. I’m not running just to sit at a board table; I’m running to be an active partner in our children’s education. By creating these open, ongoing spaces to connect, I’ll make sure my vote always reflects the real-time needs of our families, staff, and community.
Transparent Solutions, Together
I promise to do the work. I will advocate for transparent, real-time solution sessions where stakeholders evaluate budget impacts before final decisions are made. If a thoughtful conclusion hasn't been reached, I will push for the time needed to get it right.
Experience & Representation
My background in healthcare has made me an expert at navigating complex systems, leading under pressure, and advocating for others during their most difficult moments. I will use these skills to fully represent all stakeholders in District 281.
